How Choosing Your Egg Donor Works
Many of you have been told that you have a very low chance of having a baby with your own eggs. This is incredibly difficult news to process, and we understand that you might need time (a little or a lot of it) to process the loss of your DNA.
BUT
Donor egg IVF offers some of the strongest chances in fertility treatment. Because success is driven by the egg donor’s age rather than yours, birth rates remain high across recipient ages — which is why donor eggs can transform the odds for recipients who have had low success with their own eggs. Internationally, live-birth rates with donor eggs are commonly reported to be in the range of 45–55% per embryo transfer, and the chance of success increases further with more than one transfer. Every journey is different: your results depend on your circumstances and your clinic, and no treatment can be guaranteed.

Two ways forward
As a recipient in the UK, you have two ways forward — and Grace is beside you on either one. You can have your donor egg IVF here at home, or travel to South Africa for more donor choice, shorter waiting times and lower cost — whichever fits your circumstances best.
Donor egg IVF in the UK
You can have your treatment close to home at a UK fertility clinic, with Grace coordinating your donor match behind the scenes. We recruit and screen your egg donor and handle the matching and all the coordination, while your chosen clinic carries out the IVF, so you have experienced support on the donor side and trusted medical care on the other. Travel to South Africa
Many UK recipients choose South Africa for donor egg IVF because of shorter donor waiting times, a wide and diverse donor pool, and substantially lower overall cost than private UK treatment, with the same standard of care at established clinics. Grace coordinates your donor match and supports your travel.
Step 1:
Before you begin, we suggest writing a short list (perhaps 2-3 points) of the most important aspects in a donor. Perhaps you’d like a donor with the same hair colour as yours, or a similar nose. Perhaps you’d like a donor with a certain level of education or one with a particular heritage. Rate each point on the list in terms of importance so that when you are viewing our wide range of donors you can stay focused.
Step 2:
Before starting the process of choosing a donor, you need to ensure you are medically ready to proceed down this very exciting path. What this means on a practical level, is that your blood tests and pelvic ultrasound are not more than one year old. If you are not an existing patient at your selected clinic, you will need to provide this information to them.

Step 4:
View our donors in the egg donor portal. You are welcome to give our recipient support team a call to ask as many questions as you need.
Step 5:
Reserve your donor by following the prompts on the system. If it is your first visit, you will be asked to register with your email address and a password of your choice.

Step 6:
You will need to pay Grace’s agency fee and the clinic deposit (or full fee depending on the clinic) as the clinic will not see your donor until their fees have been paid.
Step 7:
The Egg Donor process begins. The Grace donor team will contact your donor to check that she is available and able to donate.

Agency Fees
The egg donor price includes all the costs to assist an egg donor through an egg donation process for an egg recipient IVF procedure.
Grace United Kingdom
£3 100 incl. VAT
- The cost includes the agency fee to use a Grace UK egg donor.
- Costs are incurred in the recruitment, selection, screening, administration, and ongoing support of donors before and after the donation process, and with assisting with donor travel arrangements and contract execution.
- PLEASE NOTE: Grace UK Egg Donors agency fee excludes the donor compensation, which is set at £985.
